Abstract :

World Social Forum (WSF) has been emerged as an idea that the global south needs a space for sharing ideas, reflective thinking and creating proposal towards fairness at global order. Since established in 2001, WSF has not been able to build alternative thinking which distinctively produced by WSF mechanism. It leads to a question why WSF has not been able to produce the alternative thinking. The concept of empire-multitude is used to answer that question. Based on falsification methods, WSF has been failed because of using the multitude strategy. Vague target, unequal participant proportionality, anarchy of decision making and dependency of external support are the problems lead by strategy failure. The failure has resulted the WSF stagnation to build an alternative thinking facing neoliberal globalization.
